CRM – Good Bad Ugly

July 13, 2009

CRM – Customer Relationship Management , is a web-based CRM program does all of the tasks associated with an internal CRM program – it manages contacts and customers, supports sales and marketing, and keeps track of projects

  • CRM itself is not a software application, but is instead a strategy for doing business.
  • CRM methodologies are focused on building individual customer relationships for the purpose of creating and maintain a loyal customer base.
  • CRM software works across all corporate departments to help harmonize customer-centric thinking in the entire organization.

Good:

  • Sales Automation
  • Automated Marketing
  • Reporting
  • Data Integration
  • Security
  • Fast Implementation

Bad:

  • Require continuous maintenance,Information Updating, and System Upgrading costly
  • Difficult to Integrate with other systems

Ugly:

  • Since most of the CRM Applications are hosted or on premise, it may go down at any moment (although seem’s unlikely, but don’t take things for granted)
  • 12% Prone to Product Feature Bugs (due to Upgradation or new features) which may cause a huge impact in Business
